Winner of the 2019 SEGD Merit Award, the environmental graphics program at Scholastic's corporate headquarters reimagines their favorite stories into various design elements throughout the NYC office.
Designed by Paula Scher at Pentagram and working in collaboration with DCL for engineering, prototyping, fabrication and installation - the office renovation includes a variety of tactile materials, visual curiosities and a playful media. The Magic School Bus is reimagined with a pegboard of 15,000 wooden dowels painted school-bus yellow. Furry, dimensional art canvases depict Clifford the Big Red Dog and a three-dimensional Captain Underpants smashes through a wall.
